  • Business Development Engineer
EM Solutions is a mid-size company that designs and manufactures products for the telecommunications sector. The company is based in Brisbane, and operates in the commercial and defence markets with customers in Australia, the USA and Europe. As well as supplying RF and microwave equipment, and telecommunications systems, the company also undertakes project work for Defence, government departments and nternational companies. The company now requires a business development engineer to expand our business within Australia and overseas.
 
Critical Qualifications and Skills:
 
i. Graduate technical or engineering qualifications in electronics, with strong knowledge of telecommunications. Expertise in microwave and satellite technologies an advantange.
  
ii.  Experience in sales and marketing in the telecommunications industry
 
iii. Ability to write professional documents and prepare teechnical reports, including responses to tenders, and to present to clients.
 
iv. Experience with the defence or satellite industries an advantage

General:
 
This position will suit a person with a technical background and knowledge, but whose main interest is in working with existing and potential customers to improve their telecommunication systems with the products and expertise provided by EM Solutions. As such there is considerable flexibility in the mix of qualifications, experience, skills and personal attributes that will be applied in assessing the most suitable applicant. The position is responsible to the Director of Sales, working in a small team, and liaises throughout the company with design, development, and manufacturing staff to craft solutions for customers.
 
The salary package will be negotiated.
