Project CHORUS makes high-risk, high-payoff satellite communications (SATCOM) research venture a reality.
Defence’s first collaborative project will be launched through the SmartSat Cooperative Research Centre (CRC). CHORUS, or Compact Hybrid Optical-RF User Segment, explores ways of integrating both laser-based optical and radio frequency (RF) communications technologies in a single SATCOM user terminal.
This is an exciting opportunity for our team to be part of with our colleagues at Electro Optic Systems Pty Limited along with other industry and academic partners working with Defence Science and Technology (DST) on a collaborative research project through the SmartSat CRC.
