EM Solutions was honoured to be invited to the Thales Australia Industrial Partners and Suppliers Excellence Awards in Canberra this month, where we won the Export Achievement Award, in acknowledgement of the close collaborative relationship that exists between the two companies. With EM Solutions as a trusted specialist supplier, Thales is able to tailor high quality solutions for both Australian and export markets.
Thales is an in international supplier of ground, aerospace and maritime satellite terminals. EM Solutions was initially awarded a $1M AUD contract in 2012 to provide key parts for a military satellite communications solution. Since then EM Solutions products have been used extensively in Thales satcom systems, embedding us into the Thales supply chain with the signing of a framework agreement.
Last year, Thales was chosen as the prime contractor for a major commercial aviation connectivity programme in North America. This is a major programme for Thales, which included the supply of a new satellite by Thales Alenia Space. In June 2018, EM Solutions was awarded the first part of a multi-year contract to deliver its satellite communications transceivers. With the market for commercial aircraft connectivity anticipated to double by 2030, EM Solutions is pleased to be a select partner with Thales in this important program.
